Which isn't true. No manual is neded for majority of functions of the MZ-S. 
Shutterspeeds, aperture, metering mode, light on LCD panel, drive mode are all self 
evident on the MZ-S whereas on the Z-1p you need to consult the manual to know which 
dial to press with what button and in what direction. I'm not denying that the Z-1p 
can be learn, just the tiring myth that Z-1p is easier or more intuitive in use 
something thats utterly wrong.
For some people this make a difference, for others it don't. Still the MZ-S is easier 
in use.

Yes, custom function need consulting with manual in both cases. On both my camera I 
set the custom setting once and for all when I received them.
