will be gone in ten years without due diligence.

that drum scan 1" video tape you have in that box, or listen to your
grandpa's wire recording of the family get together in 1947.
Asked of Sam Verga, VP, General Manager at VidiPax, a premier provider
of multi-platform restoration services in New York.
"Is there any permanent, forever storage media today?"
"Only the brain, the human brain," Verga said. "And that lasts for
about 75 years."
From personal experience, I can tell you that it's not that accurate,
nor reliable.
