Not always. I usually  know if I have a good shot or a half way decent shot. 
But it took me a few years  to get to that point. And, of course, when I show 
something I like on list, not  everyone agrees with me.  :-)

I  would have liked that a lot if you had chopped off less of the petals to 
the  right, and maybe gotten even more of the hydrant. Maybe a more slightly 
higher  angle too. It has potential.

A lot of your flower close ups, I also would  have liked better if you had 
framed them broader, more flower. But,  <shrug>, that's me.

Always please yourself first, of course. Or it  ain't no fun.
