I'm glad that your brother is not seriously hurt. My rule of thumb when estimating the cost of body work repairs is that every body panel (fender, door, hood) that gets damaged will cost $1,000 to repair/replace. If the body panel is structural, like the roof, double that.
Add to that the cost of frame straightening or any damaged mechanical parts. If the airbags deploy, the car will cost more to repair than it would to replace. Just looking at the pictures, I'm guessing $8,000-12,000 to repair. That's not counting the cost of repairng the damage of being cut out (which I don't see in those pictures). If you don't care about cosmetics, the car could probably be made driveable for $3,000, but I don't know how much damage was done cutting him out, or how much was done to the frame. -- The fastest way to get your question answered on the net is to post the wrong answer.
