Hi everybody, and happy holidays. My $65 ebay special Program Plus arrived today, with its A50/1.4 (the reason I got the thing) and a detached rewing lever, besides a cheapo Vivitar 2600D flash.
Reattaching the rewind lever was easy, I just pulled the pin up a bit and carefully screwed it back on. I rewound the roll that came with the camera (I'll contact the seller in case they want it back) and tried to fire it. Now, the shutter is not cocked, and the wind lever is stuck. Any ideas on how to unstuck it? Does the Program Plus need batteries to fire in bulb or at the flash sync speed? As soon as I get home I'll open the baseplate, and see if I can trigger the fire mechanism from there. Besides that, any ideas are welcome. BTW, the body is in Ex+ condition. Only a couple of faint marks on top of the prism, from someone who tried to mount a flash and missed. It still has the plastic on the baseplate and bottom of the mirror box. The A50/1.4 looks equally new, except for some fingerprints in the front element which should clean away easily. Help in unstucking the Program Plus welcome. I might end up keeping it after all, it seems like a nice little camera, very similar to the ME Super. Thanks, j -- --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Juan J.
