If you get the chance, borrow a DA40 to put on the camera and spend a day wandering around with. The combination of size, quality and price of that duo is amazing. There are faster lenses, and sharper lenses, but that combination is just downright fun to shoot with. The FA43 is a bit sharper, and a bit faster, but it's just enough bigger especially with the lens hood, that the combination is no longer point-n-shoot-zilla. -- The fastest way to get your question answered on the net is to post the wrong answer.
