My Voigtländer 125mm f2.5 was considerably more expensive than that...

As for Nikkor lenses, aside from the in lens VR (it's actually useful
to see it working) I'm not overly impressed.

Let me put it this way, I like Penatx for their glass I like Nikon for
the body & flash system.
