In the current "50th Anniversary" Issue of Rangefinder, "The Magazine for
Professional Photographers" they have an interview with Peter and Alice
Gowland who, over the last 58 years, have had a great deal to do with
defining "glamour photography".

Selected Quote:

Alice: Though we've been on many location trips, we've only taken an
ordinary vacation trip twice in 58 years together, once to Hawaii and once
to Alaska. We carried 35mm cameras and shot stock for fun and profit.
Peter: I've used a Hasselblad for fifty percent of my work, and a 4x5
Gowandaflex for the rest, with 35mm comprising about one percent. However,
for the last four years Alice and I have used our Pentax 35mm cameras
regularly when we see good subjects. . .

Rangefinder is an interesting magazine. Primarily geared to wedding photogs,
and as much to the business side as to the technical side. I think they
bought my name and address from Pop Photo or Mod Photo back in the late
60's. I have never paid for a subscription, I long since stopped subscribing
to any photog magazine, I have moved at least 6 times since then and have
never sent a change of address, and they keep finding me and sending me the
magazine . . . Besides wedding-oriented stuff, they do have occasional
articles about people like Art Wolfe, Peter Gowland (my hero! ;-)) and
others.
