Harald - I agree with just about everything you say about the MZ-S - it's a 
great camera!
To be helpful, rather than just 'me-tooing': for mid-roll reload, make sure 
that PF12 setting is 3.  Then, note the frame number at which you stop when you 
take out the film.  When you reload that film, simply, while the back is open, 
press and hold the exposure mode button and turn the select dial to the number 
of frames exposed previously (add one or two for safety if you wish).  Close 
the back and the film will be advanced to the setting made without firing the 
shutter - dead simple and very useful.
It's all on Page 118 of the manual, too.
