When I posted a version of this stump awhile back, the sun was not hitting the burned out inside and the bark free lower right area was completely blown out. In this case, the sun was lighting up edges of the inside texture and, while I'm not terribly excited about it, I said I would re-shoot when the light was better. Hmmmm..I really don't see "harsh light" on my monitor. I see sharp contrast as it existed at the time.
