The de-saturation was an attempt to make this look like an old, faded
photograph - most didn't care for it. And the rotation got mixed
reviews...I thought it made it look more interesting than the original.

I definitely prefer the rotation and crop of the first version you
showed, but the colour of the original.
I'm going to go with Adam on this one. I couldn't figure WHY the
rotation/crop until I saw the original and compared. The rotate/crop
does make it more interesting (Just lose the fade).
