If they're going to add GPS, of course they need to add text-to-speech
so it can give you driving directions to where you took that good
picture last week.  At which point market forces require the
text-to-speech to support selection of voices, and it is the merest
bagatelle to have a camera able to tell your subject to "say cheese" in
the voice of Darth Vader.
