If the dog had id chips in its ears then the police have probably cut them
off, as they often do with their own shoulder numbers during this sort of
thing.
Frig, they should be sent to jail for that if nothing else.
I wonder how many more of this sort of incident will happen before people
feel they have to start offing the cops as pre-emptive self defence.
