On a good matte screen (among the screens I had for my LX was a
grid-enscribed matte screen) objects seem to "snap" into focus.  It's
hard to explain, easier to see from using one.  As you move the focus
ring, things are fuzzy, then ~snap~ - they're sharp.

Quite amazing, really...
