Glad to read that - and since they're paying you don't have to worry about the decision of repairing or buying a new (different) lens... while I hate losing the power of the choice, I'd accept the deal. Seems fair.

when there were no claims.
Of course, the problem is that neither of the damaged items is currently
available new, so they may decide to go the cash payment route, or pay for
the repairs anyway.
