I have done this test using my pz1p and my af330ftz. I have not recieved the 500ftz in the mail yet (UPS says Jan2!!). At stadiums with little available light (ie-two or three stops under 1/250@f4), 180th works fine especially if I catch it right at the height of action. But I was at a newer stadium in Waco for the state high school finals, and there was enough available light to slightly blur some of my photos even at 250th. Although not enough light to shoot without flash altogether. If I'd had a 2.8 lens I could've shot available using flash as fill, I think the HSS would be ideal for that use.
This reminds me of another question. According to the pz1p manual the flash meter will only register up to 1600iso. Does anyone know what MZ-S flash meter's limit is? Thanks.
