Mine behaved just like that.... after I dropped it (face down,
attached to the K10D, inside a bag, onto a hard floor) and broke a
screw inside.
I hope is only that part loose around and that there is no
additional damage. The lens focuses and works ok except for the
problem described. I will update when I get it back.
Could very well be the same screw as mine - but backed out/broken
somehow NOT by dropping. Good luck!
