Guess it's about the missing kid (missing as not in the photo).
Way back I almost unwillingly (?) took classes that included observing
the missing (not in vision) human beings from the presence or lack of
traces - usually in form of discarded or ready to be used clothing,
dishes, toys, tools and reading stuff. The payback is mixed and curious
- from readying the brakes when I see any kind of toy in the road to
being able to set credible scenes to product or people photos and videos.
... and including feeling a not seen kid somewhere in that photo. That
really triggers some lookout mood, for me.

Disturbing, Godfrey. A good photo, but disturbing, for me.

"Found Zebra" - Sunnyvale 2009
Panasonic G1 + Olympus ZD 25mm f/2.8

as i walked back to my car
something caught my eye
in the shadows behind the car
in a little pool of sunlight
a zebra forlorn
and lost
he rides the dashboard now
