I never knew that, I used to wait for U.S. PDML'ers to comment on equipment and
they always seemed to get theirs first. Or maybe it's just the U.K.

John

In the early days of DA lenses, Pentax was shipping new lenses to Europe and
Canada weeks to months before shipping to the U.S. The DA 14, which I needed
badly, was available in Europe five months before I could get one in the U.S.
The DA 10-17 was available in Canada several weeks before it made it to the
U.S. Then, for a while, Pentax released new gear in all markets more-or-less
simultaneously (except for Australia, which always seems to be last on Pentax's
list). Lately, though, Pentax has reverted to shipping new gear to Europe well
before shipping to the U.S.

As with most things Pentax, it does no good to try to figure our why.

That's got to be an all time first, we've had them in the UK for weeks.

Darn. I could use this lens for some upcoming work. Still not
available in the U.S. I wonder how long it might take.
