I used to have a Makinon 300/5.6 years ago, wasn't a bad lens, bargain price. Sometimes I wish I still had it, but only sometimes.

Pentax did once make an 800/4 lens for the 67 medium format, but this is not that. It's not the 800/5.6 Sigma, either. It's a roughly 200 dollar Rokinon 800mm mirror lens; you'll be out another 20 bucks for a 30.5mm skylight filter, which is not at all optional in the optical formula. Oh, and probably a little sanity learning how to get the camera set up to tell you when it's in focus. -- Graydon, who figures that as a lens it's remarkably good value for birds -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
