Thanks Frank.  It makes me blush when people go on about my photographs like
that.  I recently re-scanned the slide with a "real" scanner (HP PhotoSmart)
and it is sharp enough to see bark detail in the trees.  As for the colors:
I think what I got was a combination of beautiful natural colors enhanced by
my beloved Velveta.  I don't do any color manipulation with the photo
editors but I do admit to increasing the contrast to match the original
slide.

better colors but I likes the vertical separation of the birds in the photo
I submitted.
