The answer is no ;-) They are about 18 cm long. I've also got some files where it has a stonefly nymph in the beak. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plecoptera That's their main diet at this time of year. That's why they live in oxygen rich streaming water. They are fascinating little buggers these birds. The rest of the lecture I'll leave to Jostein or Mike, or somebody else with real expertise :-)
