Thanks, Frank. Much appreciated. FWIW, after some off-list I upped the highlights and shadows a bit and added some sharpening. I think it helps quite a bit. Unfortunately, when one uses Picasa to edit photos and upload them to the same gallery in Picasaweb, the old photos get replaced with the new ones. So there's nothing online to compare them to, and I'm just not gonna go back, undo the edits, and then upload them to another gallery for comparison purposes. Grr.
