Hi Godfrey: Thanks for posting--I thought it terrific! The historical
overview of photojournalism at the beginning of the piece was great to see;
Fred Ritchin was impressively smart and articulate; and, of course,
Salgado's work was superbly compelling, and his dedication to the idea of
photography and activism as "a way of life" was very inspiring.
I learned quite a bit in this little 1 hour video, but I suppose that's
bound to happen when folks with extraordinary talent and brains are doing
the talking.
Again, I'm very grateful, Godfrey, you posted this. Would love to hear your
impressions of the event you're going to tonight--even if it's only the
quick abridged version.
