Thanks Ann. The repairs shot was a no-brainer - a self-refuting sign, who
could resist?

I don't see much of a problem with the shadows where the guy is, but I will
give it a try in b&w. I did a couple of quick attempts yesterday, but they
weren't much good. I need to spend some time on it. I'm generally fairly
happy with that picture.
