One presumes that the camera knows where the sensor is at any given time and adjusts accordingly. I think if it didn't, sensor deflection based shake
reduction would be rather an epic fail of magnificent proportions.

It's not going to adjust your view through the viewfinder, only on the LCD in Live View.
