I am looking to upgrade to a better AF outfit. Can anyone on the list tell
me which of the MZ5, MZ5n and Z1P leave the leader out after film rewind.
90% of what I do is B&W, so a camera that gobbles up the leader is a PITA.
(read MZ50).

Secondly, I have recently had an experience with my MZ50 and a bulk film
roll that bothers me about upgrading to the MZ series cameras. I loaded my
MZ50 with Ilford film from a bulk film roll (plastic screw in cannister).
After the film had finished (approx 36 frames) the camera rewound for a
little bit, but then stopped. I replaced the batteries and pressed used the
little nipple (blush) to rewind. Nothing. So I took the camera into the dark
room, opened the back, closed it again, and turned the camera on. Whirr to
"first frame" as you normally would with a new film. I used the nipple again
to rewind, however it went for a second or two and then stopped agian. I
eventually had to literally pull the film out of the camera.

Has this happened to anyone else. Is the rewind motor gutless?? It's
obviously got something to do with the bulk film cannister. I have not tried
it again for fear of losing a roll of film.

BTW, I'll be selling an MX, MX Winder and K35/2 to raise funds. I'll wait
till Friday to post the FS sign.
