There is an interesting article on focus shift, by Lloyd Chambers, in
the May/June issue of Photo Techniques magazine. Chambers discusses
the problem in quite a bit of detail. Assuming he knows what he's
writing about, I have a much better appreciation for the problem.

I never seemed to experience the problem myself and have always
wondered why it was such a hot topic of discussion. I can see, after
reading the article, that the issue is a bit more complex than the one
would be led to believe by the many posts to discussion boards.

The article contains too much information for me to summarize in a
short post. I'd encourage any that is interested, and certainly
anyone that experiences the problem, to get a copy of this issue and
read the article.
