The animals look so sad - I don't know if it's because of being abused in the past, or because of the small enclosures in which they are currently situated, or both. These are poignant photos documenting the wretched lives of these majestic animals. BTW, I'm not putting down the sanctuary owners, who appear to have taken in and are caring for injured, sick, abused or unwanted exotic animals. I'm sure they're doing their best, at great personal expense, however these poor guys should be in much larger and more stimulating environments.
