Replying a bit late, but... I'll be in Oz over the Xmas/New Year's holidays

Hmmm maybe a short trip over east could be in the cards???
The plan as it stands now is to arrive in Sydney on 21/12/2009, stay one
night somewhere near the train station and take the train to Tamworth on
the 22nd. The majority of the time will be spent in Tamworth visiting
the in-laws (so they can spend time with their granddaughter) and
hopefully have a trip out West to a cattle or sheep station owned by a
friend of my father-in-law for some "outbackiness" and roo shooting (me
with a camera; them with god-knows-what). David has also inspired me to
see some night sky without light pollution! I'm hoping for some good
bird life too. We'll head back to Sydney on the 2nd of January and
spend 5 or 6 days there before heading back to the states.
I think a good antipodean pdml meet-up needs to be scheduled in Sydney
for that first week of January... A liitle early for planning, but any
takers?
