Thanks, Luiz. The New Cumberland Memorial Day parade is a pretty standard parade. They lead off with a police car, followed by servicemen, VFW members, etc. Then the local politicians, a few bands, community groups, boy scouts, ball teams, church groups, you name it. The Shriners with their "Police Car", clowns on scooters, synchronized go-carts and sports car unit were almost their own little parade within the parade. Then fire trucks. Lots and lots of fire trucks. There must have been trucks from 5 or 6 nearby fire stations. I think they do it out of fear that the politicians at the front of the parade are questioning their funding. The most interesting vehicles were some old sports cars, a series-III or IV Metropolitan (I can never tell) and some really old fire engines from the PA National Fire Museum. Those are always a treat, as the drivers and crew are wearing period clothing and they make a point of really showing off the aerial ladder truck. Christie took a bunch of pictures. I'll post a link once she uploads them. -- Scott Loveless Cigarette-free since December 14th, 2008 http://www.twosixteen.com/fivetoedsloth/ -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
