Aha! Yes, "progressive bifocals" can certainly cause problems with viewfinders. Every time I get a new pair, it takes some adjustment.
I used to take my glasses off to shoot, but that's a PITA. Now, I just make sure I'm looking through the top of the glasses, where there is uniform distance correction. Below the top 40% or so of the lenses, things get very wonky. Just adjust the diopter setting so that the lines on the viewfinder screen are sharp.
