That's really good news Leon - I'll have to bend CRK's ear when the K7
becomes available!

Subject: Australian price matching for Pentax gear

Hi all.

My new lenses arrived today from C.R. Kennedy (Pentax's Australian
importer). They matched B&H's price exactly, paid via credit card and
delivered to my P.O. Box quicker than I could get it from the states.
I have an invoice so I have Australian (world wide) warranty. The
invoice does state "Merchandise on this invoice is not returnable",
which probably means that I can't change my mind (not that I want to).

All in all a good experience. So any Australian's who have a problem
with the cost of local Pentax gear can contact CR Kennedy as per this
link http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1036&message=31678676
to get a better deal.

I did have to update the firmware on my K10D to make the SDM work, but
that was always on the cards. The 60-250 is a big lens, but it fits
in my camera bag (just) and I love the way the tripod mount connects.
The 17-70 is again larger than the 16-45 it is replacing, but again
just fits in the space I have for it in the bag. I'm looking forward
to the quiet focusing (and it is quiet), the old lenses did give me
away a couple of times when I was after a candid shot.

I just wish the weather was going to be a bit better this weekend so I
could give my new gear a good try out.
