Thanks for the link. This confirms the impression that Pentax
designers really care about the feel of the camera. This description
shows that they are "designers" in the best sense of the word, not
mere price-point production engineers. I think that it is the same
passion for design that makes the Apple products so appealing to many.
WRT the reference to the LX - I did not notice the reduced overhang,
but the first thing I noticed, looking at the K-7 from the top, then
holding it in my hands, was how much the hand grip looked and felt
like the LX with optional grip. Very spare, clean and functional.
And comfortable.
