I usually use the on-camera flash for convenience. However, when
using the DA 16-45 lens, I obviously need to use an external flash.
Looking for suggestions to improve the dark photos I seem to be
getting unless I set the flash ev to +0.5 or +1. All of the following
were taken with the K200D, DA 16-45, AF360, at ISO 200, f5.6, & 1/50
sec. All jpegs, uploaded to Picasa without adjustments other resizing
for web. The room is tungsten lit.

Flash WB, 0 ev dialed into flash:

Flash WB, +0.5 ev dialed into flash:

Flash WB, +1 ev dialed into flash:

Auto WB, 0 ev dialed into flash:

To my eyes, the flash WB with the +0.5 is the better lit of the four.
I am open to suggestions on either camera or flash settings as I don't
think these are terrible well lit.

Thanks.
Pat
