Why? It's better than XP by a fair margin if your hardware's supported. Some of thed efault services are pigs, but I turned them off and it runs quite well. I've actually had 4 Vista machines now (2 laptops, 1 desktop, one netbook/tablet), 2 of which are still running Vista (sold one laptop, the desktop is now a server running Linux).
