I had a great time. France is a wonderful country for cycling. I took my M8 and 4 lenses, which I kept in a Domke F-5XB that I bungeed to the bike rack through the cloth loops on the side of the bag, and to the saddle rails through the metal rings used for the shoulder strap - a mostly satisfactory arrangement, although not perfect.
