I'm getting ready to head home from the Austin Blues Party, a weekend
long dance workshop. Last night was the surprise fun of an impromptu
Pentax gathering; Igor and I from PDML and Greg, who I sold a lens to
about a year ago.

It was amusing to find more Pentaxes than any other brand of SLR being
used at the workshop. Even without Greg showing up, I only saw one
each Nikon and Canon.

One thing that amused me is that Jeff, who shoots for the Dallas
paper, saw us playing with gear, borrowed my home made diffuser made
out of a 1 gallon water jug, a bit of foam and some aluminum foil, tok
some test shots and commented that he just spent $200 on a diffuser
and I made one that works for $2. Which it turns out is about what I
spent on the bottle of glue, everything else was just scrounged.

I cc'd Greg on this, because he expressed interest in signing up on
the list.

I expect that Greg and Igor will have shots posted of the evening
sooner than I will, I won't be home until Tuesday or Wednesday.

the second step is learning to throw away ones that are merely good.
