Just a little roadside funny here--the story is more funny than the pic
though. I saw this barn, and despite the drizzle & overcast, pulled over to
grab the shot. While setting up, I was soon swarmed with agazillion
mosquitoes. I carried on, got a few shots, and ran back to the car.
Unfortunately, I brought some mosquitoes with me, and my husband & I spent a
good 2 minutes swatting the pests dead.
The trip started out with my Manfrotto tripod with the Manfrotto ball head
attached falling on my left foot clad in very girly strappy sandals. Oh,
did that hurt, & I have black & blue toes to prove it. It took my husband a
good 10 minutes to convince me that this wasn't an omen and that we should
carry on with our 4th of July backroad mosey. The further we traveled, the
harder it rained, but we arrived at the home of some good friends around
three, ate potato salad, brats, and strawberry shortcake--then we all did
the stuffed-belly-waddle to Dekalb and enjoyed the fireworks. We had a
great time despite the fact I really didn't get much roadside photography
in. lol. Cheers, Christine
