Great! Last fall we put an offer in on an old farm house on 94
acres. It had a tractor so for a joke this city slicker included it
in the offer. To my surprise the seller accepted it, and also
included a bunch of implements for it! So I am now the proud owner
of a 1973 John Deere model 920 tractor. Made in Germany. The thing
is indestructible. I don't know how I got on before without it!
That's a nice little machine, Steve. Probably made at the Porsche
Diesel factory after they stopped putting their name on their
machines. :-) What came with it? Mower? Front bucket and
arms? Backhoe?
It came with a plow, a harrow, another tilling attachment that I
cannot identify, a brush cutter, a hydraulic wood splitter, a
fertilizer spreader and a manure spreader that has been converted
into a wagon. A lot of the stuff I won't be using (I'm no farmer),
but I plowed my vegetable garden, hauled firewood with the wagon and
I have about 40 acres of field that needs cutting, or else it will
turn into woodland! And I wouldn't trade the splitter even for a new
K-7! :^)
