I am reading this thread with keen interest - with a bit different interest. I already have HPS20 scanner and am trying to get best of it. Somehow, my scanned images are not getting properly printed - sizewise - on the 8*10 paper and from that perspective I am also going throught the pritend version of the scantips.com.
In this one and earlier couple of e-mail, I found reference to 4000 ppi which added more confusion to me. Shouldn't it be dpi ?
