None of the functions that are immediately enabled are needed when the camera is at eye level. All are by that definition secondary , in some cases terceriary shooting functions. The sensor I want to use for auto focus is an immediate ie shooting decision. In fact most of the parameters you can change immediately I wouldn't want to accidentally change.
