I think the DA* 60-250 is a bit better at f4 and 135mm than is the DA* 50-135, but they're too different animals, and both are excellent. The 50-135 is superb and has the advantage of being a stop faster. It's more suited for low-light work like weddings or concerts. But if you want a lens with the length for outdoor sporting events and need the reach, then the 60-250 is a better choice. The correct choice, of course, is both:-).
