That's the problem. The monopod I have now, at 24" is OK to deal with when I go hunting. The problem is that when I'm not out looking for photos and just happen to see something. I've got a little Velbon ultra lux i tripod that I carry in the back, I probably should just use that with only one leg extended when I need a monopod.
