The auction I was watching for the 67II kit ended this afternoon. I was going to take a look with 10 or 15 minutes to spare and if it hadn't gone past my budget I was going to put in a bid.

Well I got caught up in a last-minute job at work and opened my laptop... precisely 1 minute too late.

A 67II with AE prism finder, wooden grip and 135mm macro lens went for NZ$800 which I guess was the reserve as there was only one bidder. I expected it to go for a lot more than that but to be honest I am a little out-of-touch with the secondhand market right now. Not that 67IIs come up for sale every other day in these parts. I expected it to sell for much more than that.

I've wanted a 67II for years and my old 6x7 is in need of repair. I'm consoling myself with the possibility that I'd have probably lost a bidding war anyway. Just annoyed that someone else was the sole bidder instead of me.

I guess I'll just buy that new washing machine instead. And go out and take some pictures with my old 6x7.

Cheers,
Dave
