Someone posted the press release (which was skimpy on details) back in October, and I've been lusting after it ever since. So far, it's a terrific performer. What would you like to know? I haven't done formal sharpness tests, though Wheatfield and I are planning to do a shootout against his older 75mm f4.5. The bokeh appears quite nice, I haven't noticed any barrel distortion, it's very hard to flare (even without the included hood), the size and weight are virtually identical to the 105mm f2.4 which makes it great for hand-holding, and the build quality is just plain superb. The lens is a joy to use. 67mm filter size, 9 aperture blades, 7 elements in 5 groups (if I remember right). Sadly, I have no info on the new zoom. How does the 55-100 perform? How well is it built? -Aaron - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List. To unsubscribe, go to http://www.pdml.net and follow the directions.
