to replace my 19" Viewsonic CRT as the main display?

The right LCDs can replace a CRT for photo work, nearly any LCD can replace a CRT for everyday stuff like emailing and web browsing. At home, I have a 1920x1200 and a 1650x1080, both landscape. I want to add a portrait monitor to the system, or maybe just rotate the 1650x1080 one. At work, I have two 1650x1080 monitors, one portrait and one landscape. I spend a lot of my time working on text (documentation and code) and a portrait monitor really comes in handy.

When photo editing, one of the best parts of having two monitors is that, depending on the program you're using, you can put the image on all of one monitor and the program's toolbars and tool panels over on the other.
