That is unfortunately not the case. If MS wanted support for movie playback, especially Blu-Ray, they needed to do what the RIAA and MPAA want as their members control the DVD and Blu-Ray specs. Licensing matters. And several of those corporations make MS look small (Sony for starters). -- M.
