Good job.
What flash did you use.
I own both the Sigma EF-500DG Super and the Pentax AF540FGZ, but
didn't use either of them.
As I wanted to keep the package small and light, I used a 20-year old
small, no-bounce, no-swivel, Vivitar auto-thyristor on there. It uses
4 AA batteries and is quite powerful - but relatively tiny. It only
stands about 2.5 inches up from the top of the camera, and doesn't
make the camera "flop forward" on its strap when one is walking around
with the camera over one's shoulder.
Then I just set the K10D up for about 1/20th @ ISO 400, with the 28mm
set manually to f5.6. I find that when I allow the aperture to be set
by the wheels on the camera (ie - lens in the "A" position), the
buttons tend to get hit at some point or another and change the
settings.
The only downside of this setup is that the flash itself is a bit blue/
purple in color tone - but that's easy enough to tweak in post-
processing. I think I might look into a tiny Sto-fen to put on there
to smooth the light out a bit, but otherwise there is a certain beauty
in NOT using P-TTL, bounce, swivel, etc. Just point and shoot.
