You will barely find a lighter all-metal made 300mm lens. The major disadvantage of the A/M*300/4 is the minimum focusing distance of only 4m. I would recommend adding a K50mm extension tube or a 'helicoic' (adjustable) extension tube K. This will decrease the minimum focusing distance to 2.8m or so.
